About

Upward Bound

How it Works

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Upward Bound helps high school students who are the first in the family to go to college or whose family might struggle paying for college. We provide support to students in high school and after enrolling in college, setting up connections with vital resources, including financial aid.

Graduate High School with Confidence

Upward Bound is an education support program in select high schools that provides in-class academic assistance, career guidance, graduation help, ACT and college application preparation, and college and career exploration. Staff also connect families with available financial aid sources, including help filling out the FAFSA.

What To Expect

There are a few ways to connect with Upward Bound. You can fill out the interest form and one of the Upward Bound staff will contact you. If you go to school in one of the places where we offer Upward Bound, talk to a guidance counselor, one of your teachers, or talk directly to one of our staff.

If you are not in one of the schools we currently serve, you can see if Upward Bound is offered in your school by looking at this interactive map.

You can do great things. We want to help.
